About Fred Edwards

Fred Edwards is an Attorney  and founder of Edwards Legal. Fred has focused his practice areas on Probate law, Estate Planning, Bankruptcy, and Employment Law. Fred is also a licensed California Real Estate Broker. Before becoming an Attorney Fred actively worked with homeowners and investors with complex transactions throughout Southern California.

Before starting Edwards Legal, Mr. Edwards was the Criminal Justice Program Chair & lecturer at Kaplan College where he also served as Interim Academic Dean. His experience as a Police Officer in Palm Springs and Los Angeles made him a favorite lecturer of the student body.

Mr. Edwards brings the traits he learned as a police officer into every case. His attention to detail and ability to quickly analyze facts to identify resolutions to complex situations is a benefit to every client.

As a Law Clerk for the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Edwards worked as a Certified Law Student with the ability to make appearances and negotiate  on behalf of the State. His responsibilities included preparing criminal cases for trial including research and writing of motions, attending pre-trial conference plea negotiations, preparing briefs,  and attending preliminary hearings.

Before attending law school, Mr. Edwards was a Real Estate Broker in Southern California where he ultimately managed and supervised a team of real estate agents and mortgage loan officers at 2 offices.

Mr. Edwards received his Juris Doctor degree from Trinity Law School where he was a Articles Editor for Trinity Law Review and received honors as a Moot Court competitor. He was a member of the Christian Legal Society, the Black Law Students Association and the elected Student Body. He received his undergraduate degrees from the University of La Verne where he was an Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society member. Mr. Edwards also has an MBA with a specialization in Entrepreneurship.
